The Composite Lab at Physics Dept. of NIT Rourkela provides an atmosphere to engage in building, experimental investigation, and evaluation of various polymer matrix composites. This lab mainly works to build composite samples out of unused natural green material which includes natural fibers and filler. The aim of this lab to procure as many raw materials that are almost thrown into nature without recycling and reuse them to build composites for various applications. Till now this lab has produced more than 15 composites products out of different waste materials. 

 

The lab equipped with the following instruments that are completely dedicated to natural product synthesis before passing them for composites fabrication. The composites we build, aim to utilize them in the various structural application and fulfilling the necessity of reducing Deforestation, reducing carbon footprint, biodegradability, and renewability.
